At DeBusk & Fife, we focus on providing services that we know small businesses need.
Within each offering, we work to incorporate the individual requests of each client while maintaining a process that is efficient and focused on making your project competitive for funding.
If you are new to the pursuit of non-dilutive funding or have a platform technology that could be applied to multiple indications, we recommend our Consulting services, described below.
Consulting
This retainer-based service includes an in-depth review of your technology and recurring consultations to identify priority products and indications that are most likely to be competitive for grant funding, advice on regulatory and commercial gaps that could be addressed to increase grant competitiveness, identification of appropriate funding opportunities, development of a grant submission strategy, and more.
It includes the following key features:
- Typically 3-6 months of direct consulting support
- Comprehensive review of your product or service
- Comprehensive, ongoing evaluation of funding opportunities applicable to your product or service
- Roadmap for submitting multiple, non-dilutive funding projects; if your product is not suited for multiple submissions, we will do our best to find at least one opportunity to pursue
- Key insights into the direction and competitiveness of each project discussed
- Discount on the project fees charged for the first project submitted using our grant writing services
Grant Writing, Submission, Pre-Award Negotiation, and Administrative Support
Our comprehensive grant development services include the planning and preparation of all proposal materials, submission of the application, and hands-on support for every step of the award negotiation process. Typical SBIR and STTR grant applications take six to eight weeks to complete from contract signing through submission, though other proposal types may require more or less time. This service incorporates an upfront project fee and a success fee (see FAQs for additional information) so that you know we are invested in your success.
